Introduction to E-Gold
E-Gold is an international payment processor that keeps its funds in form of precious metals such as gold, silver, platinum and palladium.
This feature makes it especially effective for international money transfers as users' accounts are not tied to any national currency.
A major advantage of E-Gold is its complete anonymity. Anyone can open an account providing any data one wants.
The E-Gold payment processor started to work in 1996 and is operated by Gold and Silver Reserve, Inc. (G&SR).
E-Gold remained #1 payment processor in the HYIP industry for a long time until E-Gold administration decided to forbid using it for HYIPs under the pressure of the U.S. authorities. Nevertheless E-Gold is still accepted by a majority of HYIPs due to its popularity. But if you actively use E-Gold in HYIPs and want to or did open an HYIP or a monitor, be prepared for continuous blocking of your accounts. Sometimes E-Gold blocks usual investors' accounts. We suggest you to always keep at least one spare account at hand. Just in case.
How to open an E-Gold account
To start creating an E-Gold account follow this link: https://www.e-gold.com/newacct/
This link leads you directly to the account creation page.
Agree to the User Agreement (click "I AGREE"). After that you will see a form asking you to enter your E-mail address. Enter your valid E-mail address and click "Continue". An account creation page divided into several sections shows up and an E-mail verification code should be in your E-mail box by now. Enter it in the first section.
ATTENTION! All the fields should be filled out in English and you may also use numbers.
In section two enter an account name in the "Account Name" field (e.g.: John123). Account names are shown when you send or receive payments. You may also enter your account's description under "Description" if you want to (e.g.: Account for John).
In section three you have to enter your username in the "User Name" field (e.g.: John Smit) that will be shown in the account history and will help to clarify one account user from another. It is not necessary to fill the "Description" field.
In section four you have to enter your contact details.
"Name" field: enter your name (e.g.: John).
"Date of Birth" field: chose your birth date with the mouse (e.g.: 11. January. 1985).
"Address" field: enter your street and the house number (e.g.: Street 1).
"City" field: enter the city you live in (e.g.: Los Angeles).
"State/Province" field: enter the state or the region of your city (e.g.: CA).
"Country" field: chose your country of residence from the drop-down menu (e.g.: United States).
"ZIP/Postal Code" field: enter your ZIP/Postal Code. It could be any number (e.g.: 123456).
"Phone" field: enter your phone number (e.g.: 456123789)
You may leave the "Fax" field blank.
In the "Alternate Passphrase" field enter your additional password. This password is not required for a normal user, but it's often used in auto-payment scripts for security reasons. Nevertheless its entry is mandatory.
In section five you have to enter your main password in both fields.
Click the "Open Account" button. If you filled all the fields correctly you will see a page stating that "Your new e-gold" Account Number is being sent via email to: (your E-mail)". This means that your account has been created and the account number has been sent to your E-mail address. If you made any mistakes while filling out the form you will get an error message: "Error: error description". You will have to fill out the form again in this case. Make sure you remember or write down the password to your E-Gold account as it won't be sent to your E-mail address.
